While HGTV is now a huge television network, with the stars of its most popular home improvement shows launched to celebrity status, HGTV didn’t even exist until December of 1994. 
So how did HGTV start? What show predated HGTV and is widely considered to be the very first home improvement show? More importantly, what’s the real story behind those home makeover shows? May I Help You Fall Asleep?

An estimated 20% of people experience autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), yet it’s a condition that did not even have a name until 2010. 
Since 2010, however, ASMR has surged in popularity, leading to the creation of millions of ASMR videos on youtube designed to help people calm their anxiety and/or fall asleep.
In this special episode, Ashley and Candy are excited to interview ASMR artist Hannah, host of the popular youtube channel Chili B ASMR. Listen in as the three discuss this intriguing topic, including Hannah’s insights and experiences as an ASMR artist and some behind-the-scenes stories about her work.

Mental health conditions and behavioral disorders are more prevalent now than ever, with the spending on mental health treatment and services estimated at over $225 billion annually (2019). And with this situation has come the rise of self-help reality shows.

Sadly, Marilyn’s promising career was cut short in 1962 when she was found dead, nude in her bed with a telephone receiver in hand, the victim of an apparent overdose. She was only 36. 
But was Marilyn’s death really the result of an overdose and ‘probable suicide,’ as the coroner declared at that time? Or was Marilyn intentionally silenced, as many did and still believe, including her close friend Frank Sinatra?

’Paul is Dead’...or Is He?

In 2009, Time magazine included ‘Paul Is Dead’ in its article about the top 10 most enduring conspiracy theories. What’s more, ‘Paul Is Dead’ is widely considered to be the most famous of all music conspiracy theories. 
In 1969 stories began to circulate that Paul McCartney was killed in a car accident in 1966 and subsequently replaced by a look-alike in order to protect and continue the Beatles phenomenon. The ‘Paul Is Dead’ rumor was fed by clues fans believed to be purposely placed in Beatles songs and album artwork.
Despite refutation from Paul and other Beatles members, the theory has endured for more than 50 years. In this listener choice episode, Candy and Ashley discuss the evidence used to support the ‘Paul Is Dead’ conspiracy theory and weigh in with their opinions.
